A sparkling specimen of garnet var. grossular var. chromian over diopside crystals from this less common Quebec mine – Orford Nickel mine. The small grossular crystals have deep grass–green color due to chromium. They have strong luster and sparkle nicely. Some black chromite crystals are seen too. White calcite crystals give a good contrast. The mine is closed since long time. In very good condition. On acrylic base., Superb!,
