A fascinating specimen of orange, gem grossular garnet crystals with green diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals to 5mm are transparent, gem quality with a superb luster and a rich color. They have a sharp habit. Prismatic, green diopside crystal grows above. For references see 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base., Splendid!,
