Turquoise has replaced hexagonal prismatic crystals of apatite. The turquoise replacement is believed to have occurred as a part of either late copper mineralization in or supergene leaching of breccia pipes. The form is exceptionally sharp; the reverse shows some damage but does not impact the display angle.Data last checked on 25th May 2022
