Beryl var. Emerald (Ref: 20.1-301-(LW1367))
Muzo Mine, Muzo, Municipio de Muzo, Boyacá, Colombia
12mm x 11mm x 8mm
minID: XMM-9UA
A single Emerald from the famed Muzo Mine, this is a gemmy hexagonal crystal with good green color. The crystal has some breakage mostly on the back and lower areas, some scuffs as well as a few inclusions. That said, it is a terminated crystal and a genuine transparent Emerald. Perfection in Emeralds is crazy rare and insanely expensive. This is a cute though not perfect thumbnail at 9.4 carats and is priced below the usual rate for this grade of rough. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
