A sculptural specimen of goethite pseudomorph after marcasite from White Desert, Egypt. The marcasite crystals were formed in the sea bottom and after completely replaced by goethite. It still displays the sharp shape of the primary marcasite crystals. They grow in attractive rosettes. The color is brown with reddish nuances. Complete all over floater. In excellent condition.
