An outstanding specimen of lazulite with siderite and quartz from the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon. It comes from the collection of Maurizio Sprovieri, Italy with a label and Glen Kisselman collection – no label. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. The lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue color up to 10mm big. The crystals have gemmy areas with marvelous royal blue nuances. Yellow-brown siderite crystals are seen too. Some colorless, transparent and sharp quartz crystals add a strong contrast. It displays attractively on both sides. For references see the 1992 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 23, # 4. In very good condition – some contacts mainly on the outside edges., Top lazulite piece!, Data last checked on 22nd Apr 2026
