Look at this large, heavy and aesthetic Galena specimen from Bleiberg in Carinthia. Clusters of octahedral lead gray Galena crystals up to an impressive size of 3.8 cm and with a metallic luster are dotted with clusters of brown, crystallized Siderite spherules and white Barite roses. If you look closely, you will also discover a number of brass-yellow, slightly tarnished Pyrite crystals. This is an absolute Austrian classic from the old Bleiberg mines (now Bad Bleiberg) that were closed at the end of the 1980s.
