A fabulous specimen of axinite-Fe, quartz, epidote and clinochlore from Canta District, Peru. On a green, sparkling clinochlore base grow quartz crystals in a sculptural cluster. They are transparent, water clear sharp and lustrous. Many are doubly terminated. The epidote grows in sprays of needle crystals. They have rich olive-green color and pearly luster. Many epidote needles are included in the quartz. The axinite-Fe crystals are sharp,, transparent, with brown color and strong luster. In excellent condition – some minor damages.
