Iridescent Chalcopyrite on Calcite from Moldova (Ref: DC25-RAINCAL2)

This beautiful calcite specimen is from a new find in November of 2024. It comes from a small deposit in Moldova, and the iridescence comes from chalcopyrite covering the scale-like calcite crystals which are on a larger calcite matrix. Like many iridescent specimens, it looks dull in diffuse room lighting, but once you put it into a display case with bright lights the iridescence lights up like you see in these photos.
