Anglesite (Ref: 7245)

A high-quality and striking Anglesite miniature from the famous Namibian Tsumeb mine. Anglesite is one of the most well-known minerals from this world-renowned deposit and, typical of this species, can take on many different forms, not all of which are immediately recognizable as Anglesite. However, there is no doubt what this fine miniature is: the 2.4 cm precisely crystallized, beautifully developed main crystal of Anglesite is surrounded by smaller ´cousins´ along the base. All crystals are opaque, milky-white, and partially water-clear, with a variable coating of altered Limonite, which provides additional contrast and thus highlights the surface texture and crystal structure. An excellent example of well-crystallized Anglesite from Tsumeb.
