Specimen of lustrous, gemmy crystals of tanzanite on calcite matrix. With some graphite. The biggest tanzanite crystal size is 3.2 x 1.0 cm. ;Tanzanite crystals show pleochroism (the color changes depending on the crystals optic axis - from one side it is greyish and from another it is violet or blue - in some crystals it is also possible to see a hint or red in 3rd axis). ;
