This is a Rhodochrosite (1960s-70s era) from Sweet Home Mine, Mount Bross, Alma, Park Co., Colorado, USA. Here is a large and luscious, translucent, rich pink-red Rhodochrosite rhomb from one of the ultimate localities for the species from finds in the late 1960s and early 1970s (mostly by Richard Kosnar).From: The Arkenstone
