Creedite - Purple crystals, classic USA (Ref: 17.1-266)
Tonopah Copper Mine, San Antonio Mountains, Nye County, Nevada, United States
65mm x 40mm x 43mm
minID: WNN-XVM
Bright purple transparent crystals of Creedite cover a face of a blocky Quartz matrix. From Nye County in Nevada which had been the best source of purple Creedites in the USA, these are now very rare on the market. Aside from this region and a few scattered localities in Colorado there are virtually no fine Creedites from the USA known, and purple is the least common color worldwide. These are very lustrous, clear, a nice violet and with good definition. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
