Herderite - Hydroxylherderite (Ref: 19.1-341)

An older specimen originally labelled as "Herderite" but without analysis it is more likely to be Hydroxylherderite. Either way this is a nicely crystalized Herderite series piece with 3 main crystals in a cluster, the largest being 2.6 CM. The crystals have glassy exteriors, are translucent and with strong backlighting show zoning with a darker orange core and lighter yellow exterior. Some minor contacts but no damage or bruises. Some thin cracks are seen in a few crystal faces these appear to be partly recrystallized under d magnification. There are no repairs, the specimen is solid and stable. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
