Spessartine on Quartz (Ref: 20.1-175)
Tongbei, Yunxiao County, Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province, China
66mm x 23mm x 20mm
minID: QKR-K4A
Jewel-like Spessartine Garnets sprinkled on a single Quartz crystal. From the famed Tongbei locality, the Garnets are up to 5 mm and most are bright red, transparent and perfect. The Quartz is a light smokey color with transparent areas. The locality has not been productive for the past few years. These are now considered to be modern classics and the find was unique since this type of Spessartine/ Quartz is not known from any other locality. Very good value. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
