A killer, world-class and huge Weloganite, one of the largest crystals found, with exceptional display esthetics. The crystal is 4.8 CM tall. For what it is worth, this is the best cabinet matrix specimen that I have ever seen, and I prefer it to the well-known published single crystals. In very good condition, the matrix is sawn on the back and base, not seen on display side. Tiny doubly terminated Quartz and what seems to be Sphalerite micros with some bright golden Marcasite are noted in the vug where this grew. A few small Quartz also are on the right side of the crystal just below the termination and add a little extra sparkle. Fine creamy yellow color and good luster give the Weloganite contrast from the matrix. It is very rare that we offer specimens of such stature on our website, we usually sell this quality at major shows or in private sales.
