A wonderful specimen of pink colored grossular garnet crystals to 2mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada.  It comes from the renowned collection of Francesco Spertini, Quebec, Canada (identified by a collection number on the back; no label present). The grossular crystals are transparent and gem quality, displaying strong luster and a delicate, pleasing pink color. Pink grossulars from this classic, now-closed locality are quite rare and highly sought after by collectors. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.
