Azurite (Ref: 7249)
Tsumeb Mine (Tsumcorp Mine) | Tsumeb | Otjikoto Region | Namibia
84mm x 39mm x 33mm
$2994 *
Although Azurite is such a common species from the world-famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia, what makes Tsumeb so special is its ability to consistently produce specimens unlike any previously seen. In the case of this small-cabinet sized Azurite, protruding, robust but nevertheless elegant crystals up to 1.5 cm on edge intergrown to form a highly aesthetic cluster of nested blocky crystals. The Azurite crystals are likely transparent, but this is compromised by the deep intensity of their inky blue color, which, when backlit, emits translucent flashes and highlighted edges of electric blue. A very beautiful Azurite with strikingly high luster from Tsumeb.Data last checked on 20th Oct 2025 - specimen may no longer be available
