An exceptional specimen of volborthite crystals from the famous Milpillas Mine, Mexico. Volborthite is a rare copper mineral and these are considered the best examples for the species. It displays vibrant dark olive-green volborthite crystals forming radial rosettes. They are well shaped and lustrous with a sparkling appearance. Light green malachite adds a nice accent. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 2021 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 52, # 5. In very good condition – some small contacts.
