A superb specimen of gemmy garnet var. demantoid crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. On white amphibole base sit demantoid crystals to 4mm with a rhombic dodecahedral habit. The crystals are lustrous. The color is green and on the white matrix the demantoid contrast strongly. This was mined long time ago - the mine is closed now.
