Adamite - Manganoan on yellow/green (Ref: 19.1-262)
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
28mm x 26mm x 15mm
Killer thumbnail of sharp Manganoan Adamite crystals clustered like a crown on a base of lemon yellow to green Adamites. The Manganoan crystals have light purple and reddish-pink zones with glassy luster, transparent in areas. . Ex collections of Willard Perkins (inventor of the Perky box) and Kay Robertson. In excellent condition, the display side is perfect and competition grade, the backside is contacted where it grew on host rock. With all the fine Adamites to come out of Ojuela it can be hard to find one that is exceptional or stands out. This one is top level with a unique form. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
