This is a Quartz var. Amethyst on Fluorite from Shizhuyuan Mine, Dongpo ore field, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China. I cannot recall seeing good deep amethyst with Fluorite crystals from anywhere, except a few unusual finds in India (and those fluorites were spheres, not octahedra).From: The Arkenstone
