Aquamarine (Ref: 157)
Chumar Bakhoor | Hunza Valley | Gilgit-Baltistan | Pakistan
56mm x 16mm x 11mm
minID: FE3-G69
This is a superbly defined sharp and doubly terminated Aquamarine from the new finds. This is just such a pristine and beautiful jewel-like crystal that it leapt out to me, when I saw a whole table littered with Aqua ´singles,´ recently. This is a single, glassy and absolutely gemmy, light blue Aqua crystal, 5,6 cm in length. Both terminations are on the first look frayed but definitely multifaceted . The crystal and for that matter the whole specimen is a floater with no contacts. Although common enough today, in general, a superb aquamarine specimen like this is distinguished from the pack. From: Wendel Minerals
