Superb gem quality specimen of V twinned Diaspore from a new find in Selcuk, Mugla Province, Turkey. These classic Turkish Diaspores are considered to be the finest examples of the species. It displays marvelous dichromatism. In normal light it is tobacco green and in halogen light it is violet. The crystals grow in very three dimensional V twinning. The Diaspore blades have strong transparency and gemminess. They are very sharp and highly lustrous with nice striations. It shows on both sides. In excellent condition.
