2nd Sovietskiy Mine, Dal\'negorsk, Kavalerovo Mining District, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
60mm x 32mm x 29mm
minID: FDE-6DG
$135
Highly-lustrous, clear to translucent bipyramidal Quartz crystals to 20 mm are perched on a thin crust of Quartz matrix. Many shiny black Hematite crystals are sprinkled on and within some of the Quartz. There seem to be more than one generation of Quartz, and also some Quartz phantoms. In excellent condition, it is nicer in person than the photos. Purchased by Carolyn from Ray Grant in 1999, it is a great example of these classic Quartz from this famous Russian locale.ex.
