As typical from this classic Norway locality, dark-grey Hematite forms a large 60 x 30 mm pseudomorph crystal after Magnetite which has been exposed from a coating of white Hydrotalcite and yellow Lizardite. This is the type locality for Hydrotalcite. This specimen is from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas mineral collection, and is in very good condition.
