Silver Bill Mine, Gleason, Dragoon Mts. Cochise County, Arizona, United States
A very delicate cluster of clear "windowpane" Wulfenites on contrasting dark Gossan matrix. From the Silver Bill mine, a very important Arizona locality that is less often seen available in choice pieces. All the main crystals here are perfect and damage free, only a tiny crystal at one edge is broken. This is in incredible condition given the fragility. The Silver Bill was at one time open to mineral collectors since it shut down, and a few choice things were found on occasion. Mining began here in 1893 and the best specimens were found long ago. Good Wulfenites were never as common as at the more famed mines like Glove and Red Cloud, but they can be impressive and quite unlike specimens from these other localities. Choice.
