This specimen is so much better in person! It's impossible to capture the true appearance of this specimen in a 2D photo. The quartz is ridiculously water-clear which is hard to tell in the photos, and the lights make the green chlorite look much more prominent than it does to the eye. What you see in person is some of the most incredible rutilated quartz ever found! This looks much different than the kinds of rutilated quartz specimens from Brazil because the quartz is so much clearer with better luster, and the rutile is more of a copper color instead of golden. Also, the rutile has more of a random orientation to it rather than a star shape. It really looks like a clear crystal window into which you see ultra-thing copper-colored wired of rutile.
