Temperino Mine, Campiglia Marittima, Campigliese, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy
This specimen represents a classic Italian locality for Ilvaite. It is one of the better known localities for the species, but only a very small number of specimens from it have ever been recovered and saved. The Ilvaite crystals, some terminated sharply on one end and less sharply on the other end, are highly lustrous. Small quartz crystals are associated.
