Henmilite with Olshanskyite Calcite
Fuka Mine, Takahashi, Okayama Prefecture, Honshu Island, Japan
32 x 21 x 10mm
Numerous deep blue, well formed henmilite crystals are strung across the top of the specimen, dominated by the largest crystal that reaches 3mm across. Great contrast with the matt white olshanskyite. A showy, large thumbnail (technically just reaching miniature in size) with no damage. Excellent example of henmilite from the type locality.
