This specimen is mostly one larger crystal with a small group attached to the side. The crystals show the classic, silky-woody look bounded by sharp faces and an excellent termination. Interestingly, there is a thick black film on parts of the crystals that have been partially altered to allanite. There are also a couple of mm sized sharp cube octahedra of pyrite on the terminations of the scapolite crystal. Nice Grenville specimen!
