Minerva No. 1 Mine, Illinois, Cave-in-Rock Sub-District, Hardin County, USA
This is a fluorite from the Minerva No.1 Mine in Illinois. This is a deeply colored specimen with an amazing array of phantoms. A yellow core transitions into brighter purple then to a darker purple, and finally, to a pretty blue color. The specimen is a floater. There are two chips on the primary crystal for which I have deeply discounted the price. Otherwise the specimen is extremely attractive and a relatively inexpensive way to enjoy the great colors of Illinois.
