A slice from a piece of a high grade vein from 1928. No oxidation or weathering because this piece was fresh from the operating mine way back then, not a modern day waste dump find. (Not that there is anything wrong with THEM, just sayin') Probably about 80% native silver by volume with the rest, mostly calcite with a relatively small amount of arsenide mineralization. The arsenide and carbonate mineralization appear to be brecciated in the silver. Amazing high grade!
