Flawless, gemmy and highly lustrous, a simple cluster of Veracruz Amethyst formed by doubly terminated crystals. In exceptional condition there are a few small bits of adhering matrix but overall this is just Amethyst. This locality is unique in the world for look and quality of the Amethyst. These represent a great value in the mineral world. The arrangement of these crystals in a star cluster is also a hallmark of the Piedra Parada zone. It is almost impossible to appreciate fully the glass-like nature of this specimen in photos.
