Ferroaxinite - large compound crystals (Ref: 7.AE-344)
Polar Urals - Tyumenskaya Oblast, Western Siberian Region, Russia
67mm x 54mm x 14mm
minID: JHQ-5J0
$650
Big and very lustrous Axinite crystals reaching 6.7 CM in size, with razor sharp edges. Transparent on the edges and translucent elsewhere, this is an older, flashy and eye-catching specimen. These have become quite rare (and very expensive) over the past decade or so, this size and quality was never common even then. Now considered a classic find, this example is a relative bargain. Some slight chipping but far less than most do and displayable without being noticeable. Data last checked on 20th Sep 2022 - specimen may no longer be available
