A very good example of Amity NY Spinel that was world famed when first found in the 1840's. The exact locale is now lost today, but occasional small finds are made in the area. This is an old specimen in fine condition, sharp, complete and with a nice contrast to the matrix. From: Well-Arranged Molecules
