Jamesonite is a relatively rare lead, iron, antimony sulfide. Most people are probably familiar with Jamesonite from Mexico or China, but some of the nicest Jamesonite specimens I've seen are from Bolivia. This piece is a great, sparkling, bright, silvery acicular "spray" of Jamesonite needles. This is one of the finest Jamesonite specimens from San Jose that I've handled, especially since it’s not a micro specimen and it’s very eye-catching. Rarely do you see specimens this size with such great crystallization as this one. Well worth the price for the great rarity and desirable form.
