Chumar Bakhoor, near Nagar village, Hunza Valley, Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan
Chumar Bakhoor has certainly been one of the most productive localities for specimens in the last 10-15 years, and one of the premier localities in Pakistan, hands down. From killer Fluorites to amazing Aquamarines, this area has given collectors some very notable minerals over the years. This specimen features a sharp, glassy, gemmy, beautiful pale blue color prismatic crystal of Aquamarine aesthetically sitting atop a crystallized group of lustrous, bladed, silvery-golden Muscovite. The piece displays beautifully on its own without the aid of clay or a base. The Aqua is also doubly-terminated, as the reverse side is recrystallized with tiny pyramidal and basal faces everywhere.
