A neat and uncommon specimen of scepter quartz var. amethyst with rutile inclusions, and decorated with pyrite from Kattumunnur Mines, Tamil Nadu, India. The core is formed by normal colorless quartz crystal. Above grows a beautiful cluster of amethyst crystals. They are very sharp and well shaped. They are clear and glassy. Amethyst has a vivid purple color. Inside are seen needle inclusions of rutile. Amethyst is decorated with sparkling pyrite. High quality specimens from Tamil Nadu are very scarce and this is a choice piece. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. In excellent condition. On acrylic base., Magnificent!,
