An exceptional specimen of gemmy powellite crystal beautifully nestled on impressive scolecite spray and decorated with fluorapophyllite-(K) from Yeola, Nashik District, Maharashtra, India. Powellite is the rarest and most desirable mineral from the Deccan Traps of India. It displays a superb colorless powellite crystal of 31mm. It has a sharp octahedral shape. The crystal has glassy luster and pretty striations. Powellite is translucent to transparent and gemmy. It forms an excellent focal point. Beautiful white scolecite spray grows in very three dimensional and sculptural manner. The scolecite needles are white, translucent and strongly pearly lustrous. Water-clear and gem colorless fluorapophyllite-(K) cubic crystals are seen above. They have light green hue. The specimen has fascinating display all over 360 degree. In excellent condition., Powellite from India is considered as the best and this is a world grade quality specimen!,
