An exquisite specimen of doubly terminated quartz var. amethyst crystals sitting attractively on colorless quartz from Kattumunnur Mines, Tamil Nadu, India. At the top a colorless quartz base grows a beautiful cluster of amethyst crystals. They are very sharp and well shaped. They are water clear and extremely glassy. Amethyst has a vivid purple color. Inside are seen needle inclusions of probably rutile. Amethyst is decorated with small colorless quartz scepters with short stems. This is gorgeous. High quality specimens from Tamil Nadu are very scarce and this is a real jewel. It displays all over 360 degree. In excellent condition. On acrylic base., Mesmerizing!,
