A unique and rare iso-oriented faces of garnet var. grossular crystal from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. Iso-oriented means that the face patterns are parallel to the axes of the coordinate system. The grossular crystal of 15mm is translucent with strong luster and colorless. It is very sparkling and light reflective. The crystal has sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. Uncommon specimen from this closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some side contacts. On acrylic base., Choice iso-oriented grossular!
