Tall, shallow vug loaded with blocky, grey/white Felspar var. moonstone crystals from Tanzania. It's hard to tell in the photos, but this is shaped somewhat like a half-cylinder with the middle zones deeper than the edges. This is the largest, best specimen I've seen with both quality, well formed crystals and good color. The crystals reach 3cm in size and display a satiny blue color across the end surfaces. This 'Schiller effect' of blue flashes is seen when you turn the specimen under lighting. Ex. Mike Keim. Moonstone crystals are rare!
