Fluorite (Ref: 7172)

For centuries, the high alpine area of the Göscheneralp in the Swiss canton of Uri has been THE most famous and classic locality for the finest pink Fluorite octahedra in the European Alps,- and still is today. Here we see a striking and impressive 2.3 cm octahedral crystal of translucent to transparent pink Fluorite on a bed of milky, partially crystallized, creamy Feldspar. The Fluorite forms a textbook octahedral crystal with excellent beveled edges and in a few places, light natural etching, adding wonderful dramatic to the specimen. It is a beautiful and well-colored pink crystal, a fine miniature of this truly classic European Fluorite locale. The pristine 360°- specimen comes with high quality lucite custom base for display.
