A superb specimen of rich blue to colorless carletonite crystals from this famous locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. The carletonite is one of the very rare mineral species unique for the type locality Mont Saint-Hilaire. It occurs only there and none has been found for many decades. Crystals are not often seen and most of the pieces are just cleavages. This specimen shows many crystals a good luster. The color varies from colorless to saturated royal blue. The sharp crystals are slightly translucent. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In very good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base., World grade quality carletonite!,
