A gem grade thumbnail Heliodor crystal with slightly etched form and fine color. From 1980 vintage finds at Itinga (Minas Gerais, Brazil) this was obtained in Brazil by noted Northeastern USA collector Les Hitchings on one of his trips to the Pegmatite regions. There are no inclusions or veils inside the crystal which is quite unusual. This is all clean facet grade gem. The color and transparency are first rate, such crystals are very hard to find at all, and rarely in thumbnail size.From: Well-Arranged Molecules
