gem SPINEL (Ref: 20268)
Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Division, Myanmar [Burma]
36mm x 16mm x 11mm
A beautiful specimen of gem spinel crystal sitting on a white marble base from Mogok Township, Myanmar (Burma). The spinel crystal of 5mm is a sharp octahedron with perfect shape. The quality is superb – gem crystal with an intense and vivid red-raspberry color and a strong luster. The white base outlines strongly the spinel and it forms an excellent focal point at the top. For references see the 2022 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 53, # 1. In very good condition – some small imperfections. On acrylic base., Fantastic!, From: Quebul Fine Minerals
