A rare and stunning specimen from a rare Mexican locality. Pink Rhodochrosite crystals, up to 5 mm in size, are scattered on a nicely contrasting matrix and a spherical aggregate of white Calcite to 2 cm is aesthetically perched atop the specimen. A small cluster of shiny black Sphalerite to 7 mm is nestled at the base of the Calcite. Mindat shows an example from this unknown locality in Zacatecas, which is known for its silver mines hosting Rhodochrosite and Sphalerite.
