This is a rare miniature specimen of Schorl in competition-level, for obvious aesthetic reasons, including the quality of the crystals themselves, but especially for the balance of shapes and colors. Black on white, translucent on water-clear – all this gives it a unique, contrast-laden appearance. The Quartz crystals are partly slightly bladed and intergrown with the 2.8 cm measuring Schorl, giving the perfect black crystals with internal brown reflection a hopper-growth appearance.
