This is an incredible Belgian Galena specimen with sharp, pyramidal crystals up to 4.8 cm. This elongated pyramidal habit, stretched along the c-axis, is pretty unusual for an isometric mineral species. The crystals are extremely sharp-edged and covered with a brownish patina. Compared to the known specimens from this site, these are particularly well-developed crystals. The Erlenbach Mine near Moresnet, west of Kelmis, was in operation during the Second World War from 1940 to 1945 and only produced a few really good specimens, and this unusual cluster is undoubtedly one of them. I think that this is a very good opportunity to get hold of a top quality Belgian classic.Data last checked on 3rd Apr 2026
